SF Partners are working with a brilliant, established and growing business in Coventry CV6 in recruiting a Hub/Distribution Centre Manager.
Working pattern: full time typically 4pm - 12pm
To have overall responsibility for the operation and performance of the National Hub, the linehaul network / trunking suppliers and Coventry DC.
To monitor budgets, ensuring the most cost effective solutions are utilised.
Assume full management responsibilities for the site staff and third party suppliers, ensuring all key performance indicators and monthly stats are exceeding targets.
To ensure H & S processes including environmental are adhered to at all times and that ISO standards are implemented and maintained.
Encourage and motivate all reporting teams and local business partners and suppliers. To ensure key performances are managed to the required standards.
Manage the Hub and DC staff development, absence management and performance management.
Relationship and performance management of all local business partners and suppliers.
Ensure the safe keeping and integrity of the customers freight is maintained to the highest standard.
Keep up to date with all procedures, operational and company developments. Ensuring effective communication to direct reports.
Maintain the highest standards of security at the premises at all time and attend site out of hours when necessary.
Monitor and audit all vetting procedures to ensure company compliance.
Must be flexible and adaptable regarding working hours and be willing to support other resources.
Recognise all customers' service expectations and ensure first-rate service at all times.
Endeavour to achieve SLA's and stats targets.
To utilise and support the audit teams to maintain quality service and measure performance of all local business partners and suppliers.
To ensure local house-keeping is maintained to an excellent standard at all times
