We're working with a well-established Coventry business looking to add a Credit Controller to their finance team. This is a solid, hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a ledger, building relationships with customers and keeping cash collection moving in the right direction. You'll be working closely with the Financial Controller, with responsibility across sales ledger maintenance, credit control and query resolution.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and maintaining the sales ledger, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Opening new customer accounts in line with internal processes
  • Setting, reviewing and maintaining customer credit limits
  • Posting customer receipts, recharge invoices and rebate credit notes
  • Calculating customer prompt payment rebates
  • Sending monthly statements and chasing overdue balances by phone, email and letter
  • Supporting with customer invoice queries and helping resolve issues quickly
  • Maintaining the stop list and escalating unpaid debts where required
  • Assisting the Financial Controller and Finance Director with ad hoc finance tasks
