This is a varied position combining administration, document processing and customer service.
You'll support a specialist operational team, liaising with clients and external business contacts while ensuring applications and documentation are processed accurately and efficiently.
You don't need previous industry experience, as full training will be provided.
We're looking for someone with around one to two years' experience in a professional administration, processing or customer service position.
Experience gained within insurance, legal services, financial services or another detail focused environment would be particularly useful.
This isn't a role where you'll be sitting quietly processing paperwork all day.
There is plenty of interaction with customers, external contacts and internal colleagues, so you'll need to be confident, personable and comfortable building professional relationships.
- What you'll be doing
- Supporting a specialist team with day-to-day administration
- Reviewing applications and checking information for accuracy
- Processing information and updating internal systems
- Preparing quotations, invoices and business documentation
- Responding to customer and third-party enquiries by telephone and email
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external contacts
- Monitoring a shared inbox and ensuring queries reach the right person
- Maintaining accurate electronic records
- Completing document checks and following established processes
- Providing general administrative support across the department
What we're looking for
- Around one to two years' administration, processing or customer service experience
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Good written communication and numeracy skills
- Confidence communicating with customers and senior colleagues
- The ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience within insurance, legal or financial services would be beneficial but isn't essential
- Working arrangements
You'll initially be based in the office five days per week for approximately six months while completing your training and getting to know the team.
Following this, the role will move to a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two days working from home.
Flexible working hours are available, with many employees choosing to work 8:30am-4:30pm. Approximately once every five weeks, you'll be required to cover a 9:00am-5:00pm shift.
Please note that the office is in a rural location, so you'll need to be able to travel there reliably.
What's in it for you?
- £28,000 starting salary
- Hybrid working after the initial training period
- Flexible start and finish times
- Thorough on-the-job training
- A friendly and stable team with low staff turnover
