SF Partners are partnering with an ambitious, acquisitive and growing multi-site organisation to recruit an experienced Group Head of People.
Hybrid | Circa £75,000 + Car/Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, this is a high-impact opportunity to shape and deliver the People strategy across a portfolio of growing businesses.
We are looking for an experienced senior HR leader - someone commercially astute, credible at Board/SLT level and able to balance strategic leadership with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
The role
You'll take overall leadership of the People function, including
- Developing and delivering a Group-wide People strategy aligned to commercial objectives.
- Acting as a strategic partner to the Exec and senior leadership teams.
- Leading and developing a multi-site People team.
- Supporting acquisitions, due diligence, integration and organisational change.
- Driving culture, engagement and high performance across the Group.
- Leading talent, succession and workforce planning.
- Developing leadership capability and learning & development.
- Overseeing senior recruitment and the wider talent acquisition strategy.
- Using People metrics and KPIs to influence strategic decision-making and reporting to senior leadership and investors.
- Developing the EVP and employer brand to support attraction and retention.
- Overseeing reward, benefits, HR systems and People budgets.
- Providing senior-level guidance on complex and sensitive ER matters.
- Ensuring People policies and practices remain commercially effective and legally compliant.
This is a strategic role, but within a growing SME environment you'll remain close to the businesses and their people - you won't be afraid to roll your sleeves up when required.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally bring
- 5+ years' experience operating at Head of People/Head of HR or equivalent level.
- Experience partnering directly with CEOs, MDs and senior leadership teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to link People strategy to business performance.
- Experience within a fast-paced, high-growth SME environment.
- A track record of leading businesses through growth, transformation and change.
- Broad expertise across talent, culture, engagement, succession, organisational design and ER.
- Experience building and developing high-performing People teams.
- Strong employment law knowledge.
- CIPD Level 7, Master's or equivalent senior-level experience.
- Multi-site experience would be advantageous.
- Manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can demonstrate what they have delivered, changed and improved - and the commercial impact they have made.
Regular travel to other UK sites
