We are currently recruiting for an experienced Aluminium TIG Welder Fabricator to join an established manufacturing business.
The key requirement for this position is strong Aluminium TIG welding experience. We are looking for someone who is confident working with aluminium and capable of consistently producing high-quality TIG welds to a good standard.
Alongside welding, you will be working within a busy fabrication environment, producing components and assemblies from engineering and fabrication drawings.
The Role
As an Aluminium TIG Welder Fabricator, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out high-quality TIG welding on aluminium
- Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components
- Reading and interpreting detailed engineering and fabrication drawings
- Marking out, cutting, tacking and assembling components
- Using fabrication equipment including plasma cutters and saws
- MIG and TIG welding across aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel where required
- Dressing, grinding and cleaning completed welds
- Preparing finished components for powder coating, painting or assembly
- Checking completed fabrications for dimensional accuracy, squareness and weld quality
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship throughout production
The Candidate
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Proven Aluminium TIG welding experience - essential
- Previous experience within a fabrication or manufacturing environment
- The ability to produce clean, high-quality TIG welds consistently
- Experience working from detailed engineering/fabrication drawings without supervision
- Good general fabrication skills
- Experience working with sheet metal
- MIG welding experience would be advantageous
- Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel would be beneficial
- Relevant welding coding/certifications such as BS EN ISO 9606 or ASME IX would be advantageous but are not essential
This would suit an experienced TIG Welder, Aluminium Welder, Welder Fabricator or Sheet Metal Fabricator looking for a permanent position where aluminium TIG welding will be a key part of the role.
