SF Partners are recruiting an FP&A Manager for an established, international business with a significant UK operation based in Coventry.
Operating within a commercially complex, asset-intensive environment, the business is looking to strengthen its financial planning, reporting and commercial analysis capabilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the FP&A function, lead a team and play an influential role in improving business performance.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and senior operational stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering meaningful financial insight, challenging commercial performance and developing the systems and processes that underpin effective decision-making.
The Role
Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and longer-term strategic planning processes, including ownership of the three-year financial plan.
Develop and enhance management reporting, KPIs and financial dashboards to provide greater visibility of business performance.
Partner with senior operational and commercial stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
Deliver detailed financial modelling, scenario planning, sensitivity analysis and investment appraisals.
Lead profitability analysis across customers, products and business activities, identifying key performance drivers.
Improve the quality, consistency and accessibility of financial information, introducing greater automation and efficiency.
Lead, develop and support an FP&A team, creating a proactive and commercially focused finance function.
Support the Head of Finance with strategic initiatives, business cases and continuous improvement projects.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a strong background in FP&A, commercial finance or business performance management.
You will ideally bring:
Proven experience leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Strong financial modelling, analytical and management reporting capabilities.
Experience developing reporting frameworks, improving systems and working with complex financial data.
The commercial confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and influence business decisions.
Experience managing and developing finance professionals.
Advanced Excel skills and an interest in reporting automation, data analytics and business intelligence tools.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
Experience within a commercially complex, multi-site, asset-intensive or international business would be advantageous, although the ability to deliver meaningful financial insight and improve business performance is more important than sector background.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within an established business that is looking to further develop its FP&A capabilities.
You will have the scope to influence how financial information is produced, interpreted and used across the organisation, whilst working closely with senior leadership on commercial and strategic decisions.
