We are looking to hire an experienced Toolmaker for a manufacturing business working across multiple industries. If you have experience working with a stamping, pressing or prototype environment then this is a great role for you!

Within the role, you will be responsible for maintaining tools to support production and NPI projects. This will involve developing new tools along with modifying or repairing existing tooling by following detailed engineering drawings or reverse engineering parts. To succeed within this position, you will be able to demonstrate the use of hand tools and machinery which will consist of lathes, presses, milling and grinding.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Routine maintenance on press tooling (20-300ton press tools) this will be both progression and second operations
  • Be involved in productivity improvement initiatives
  • Use 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Work closely with production when attending breakdowns to identify root cause and solve problems

Additional experience required for this role:

  • Served within a domestic or contract toolroom
  • Experience with multi-stage progression tools
  • Experience using CNC and EDM machinery, ideally with knowledge of VISI.

This role will be working a permanent afternoon shift of 38 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 1:30pm to 10pm and Friday 12pm to 6pm. In return, a fantastic salary with additional shift allowance is on offer, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, pension 9% collective and much more.
