Head of Tax & TreasuryWarwickshire | Hybrid workingUp to Β£90,000SF Partners is recruiting a Head of Tax & Treasury for an established international business with operations across multiple jurisdictions.
This is a newly created senior finance role with a strong tax focus, responsible for developing and strengthening the Group's approach to tax governance, international tax, transfer pricing and compliance, alongside oversight of the treasury function.
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced tax professional who has operated within a complex international organisation and is comfortable taking ownership of the Group tax agenda. You do not need to be a treasury specialist, but you will need sufficient understanding of treasury to provide effective oversight and leadership in this area.
The roleReporting into senior Group Finance leadership, you will take responsibility for the Group's tax strategy, governance and risk framework across its international operations. A key priority will be transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements, ensuring appropriate policies, documentation and controls are in place across the Group.
Responsibilities will include: Owning and developing the Group tax strategy, governance framework and tax risk management processesTaking responsibility for transfer pricing policies, documentation and intercompany arrangements across multiple jurisdictionsCoordinating corporation tax compliance and reporting across the Group, working with local finance teams and external advisersProviding oversight of tax provisions, current and deferred tax and year-end tax reportingManaging international tax matters including withholding taxes, cross-border transactions and cash repatriationMonitoring international tax developments and assessing their impact on the GroupProviding commercially focused tax advice around business decisions, international expansion and changes to Group structuresSupporting acquisitions and other corporate activity from a tax perspective, including due diligence, structuring and post-completion integrationManaging relationships with external tax advisers and relevant tax authoritiesStrengthening tax processes, controls, reporting and accountability across the organisationProviding leadership and oversight of the treasury function, working closely with the existing treasury teamOverseeing areas including cash and liquidity, banking, FX, intercompany funding and financial riskProviding clear tax and treasury reporting to senior leadershipDriving continuous improvement across tax and treasury systems, processes and controlsThe personThis role would suit a senior tax professional looking for a broad in-house leadership position within an international organisation.
You are likely to have: ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent professional qualificationStrong UK corporate tax knowledge combined with international tax exposureStrong transfer pricing experience, including exposure to policies, documentation and intercompany arrangementsExperience working within a multinational or multi-entity environmentExperience coordinating tax compliance across multiple jurisdictionsGood knowledge of tax accounting and reportingExposure to cross-border tax matters including withholding tax and intercompany transactionsExperience working with and managing external tax advisersThe commercial judgement to translate complex tax matters into practical recommendationsConfidence working with senior finance and operational stakeholdersSome exposure to treasury, cash management, FX, banking or intercompany funding would be advantageousM&A, international expansion or post-acquisition integration experience would also be beneficialThis is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad international tax agenda while developing the tax and treasury framework of a growing organisation.
