This is a varied role offering exposure to preventative maintenance, fault finding, equipment upgrades and improvement projects within a complex manufacturing setting.

The Role

As part of the engineering team, you will provide multi-skilled support across plant and production equipment, ensuring machinery reliability, minimising downtime and supporting ongoing site improvements. Responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing faults and identifying root causes of equipment failures
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring issues
  • Contributing to equipment upgrades and installation projects
  • Supporting plant start-ups and shutdown activities
  • Managing maintenance documentation and CMMS activity
  • Supervising contractors and supporting external service providers where required
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures and permit systems
  • Supporting spare parts management and maintenance planning activities

About You

We're keen to speak with engineers who can demonstrate:

  • Experience within manufacturing, process or industrial environments
  • Multi-skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems and industrial machinery
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and fault-find systematically
  • Experience supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Engineering apprenticeship and/or relevant engineering qualifications preferred
  • Experience using CMMS systems advantageous

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a continental 4 on / 4 off pattern:

  • 2 x 12-hour day shifts
  • 2 x 12-hour night shifts
  • Followed by 4 days off

This role would suit an engineer who enjoys working in a technically varied environment and wants to be part of a team focused on improving reliability and engineering out repeat failures rather than purely reacting to breakdowns.
