We are currently recruiting for a PE backed, rapidly growing business seeking a Financial Controller due to growth within the Finance Team.
Salary: £65,000-£70,000 + car allowance (5k)
Please note this role is office based full time
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function.
Operating in a commercially focused environment, the Financial Controller will lead a team of three and be responsible for delivering accurate management reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and providing meaningful insight to support business decisions.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone comfortable managing the detail while also partnering with senior management and operational teams. You will play an important part in improving financial visibility, strengthening processes and supporting the continued development of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop a finance team of three, ensuring clear responsibilities, strong performance and continued development.
- Oversee the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Oversee the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting with clear commentary and variance analysis.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and support regular forecasting and reforecasting.
- Monitor business performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Manage cash flow and working capital, including oversight of receivables, payables and inventory.
- Maintain strong financial controls, policies and procedures across the business.
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements and coordinate the year-end audit, acting as the key contact for external auditors.
- Take ownership of financial reporting and analysis across recurring revenue streams, providing clear visibility of performance, growth and future revenue.
