We are seeking a detail oriented and knowledgeable Procurement Officer to deliver a compliant, efficient, and high-quality procurement service within a public sector environment. This role will take full ownership of the end-to-end tendering process, supporting frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems, and call-off contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full tender process from initial research through to contract award
  • Create high-quality tender documentation, including specifications, evaluation criteria, and legal agreements
  • Publish tender notices and adverts in line with current procurement regulations
  • Manage procurement activities via an online procurement portal, ensuring full compliance with the Procurement Act
  • Lead tender evaluations, including complex pricing analysis and coordination of evaluation panels
  • Prepare and manage legal documentation relating to framework and DPS agreements
  • Undertake financial due diligence, including credit checks on suppliers and contractors
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on mini-competitions, supporting tender documentation and evaluation processes
  • Ensure all procurement activity aligns with internal policies, procedures, and current legislation
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and best practices
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide procurement advice and maintain framework integrity
Skills & Experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work
  • Proven experience building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly

To be considered for this role it is essential you have previous experience working in a procurement role within the public sector and have knowledge and understanding of The Procurement Act.
