The role of Parts Advisor:
- Managing company-owned parts stock, ensuring accurate stock control, rotation, and housekeeping
- Maintaining precise stock records and following established processes and procedures
- Supplying parts to customers and supporting internal operations
- Promoting parts and associated products, supporting sales and account growth
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers
- Supporting day-to-day branch operations, including hands‑on involvement where required
- Providing accurate reporting on stock levels, parts usage, and customer activity
- Ensuring health & safety and fire safety procedures are followed at all times
The ideal Parts Advisor:
- Parts handling and stock control experience, ideally within truck, trailer, plant, automotive, or engineering sectors
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment
- Experience managing inventory systems and maintaining accurate records
- Experience supporting sales activity or parts sales
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
