Maintenance Engineer

Location: Coventry

Salary: £46,000 - £48,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off Days & Nights (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and site equipment.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and engineering issues to minimise production downtime.
  • Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs.
  • Identify root causes of recurring faults and support improvements to equipment reliability.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot a range of manufacturing and production machinery.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
  • Work closely with production and other engineering team members to resolve issues.
  • Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
  • Accurately record maintenance activities and work completed.

About the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer or similar.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment; FMCG experience would be particularly advantageous.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications; 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a shift team.
  • Comfortable working a rotating 4 on, 4 off days and nights shift pattern.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
