Maintenance Engineer
Location: Coventry
Salary: £46,000 - £48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off Days & Nights (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am)
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and site equipment.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and engineering issues to minimise production downtime.
- Fault find and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.
- Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs.
- Identify root causes of recurring faults and support improvements to equipment reliability.
- Maintain, repair and troubleshoot a range of manufacturing and production machinery.
- Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
- Work closely with production and other engineering team members to resolve issues.
- Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.
- Accurately record maintenance activities and work completed.
About the Maintenance Engineer:
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Multiskilled Engineer or similar.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment; FMCG experience would be particularly advantageous.
- Relevant engineering qualifications; 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a shift team.
- Comfortable working a rotating 4 on, 4 off days and nights shift pattern.
- A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
