Are you looking to build your career within a large, well-established finance team where you\'ll gain exposure to month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis?We\'re recruiting on behalf of a leading Midlands-based organisation seeking an Assistant Reporting Accountant to join their finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid finance background who is currently studying, or looking to study, towards a professional accounting qualification.
- What You\'ll Be Doing
- Assisting with month-end reporting and financial close activities.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
- Supporting the production of management reports and financial analysis.
- Assisting with accruals, prepayments and other month-end processes.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity.
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function to support shared reporting processes.
- Supporting continuous improvements to finance processes and controls.
- What You\'ll Bring
- Experience within a finance or accounting role, ideally with exposure to month-end activities.
- A good understanding of journals, reconciliations and accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence analysing financial data.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Studying towards, or keen to begin studying towards, AAT, ACCA or CIMA would be advantageous.
