SF Express is one of the world's leading integrated logistics service providers, offering international express, freight forwarding, warehousing, supply chain solutions, and cross-border logistics services. As our UK business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the growth of our freight forwarding and logistics operations across the UK market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain new business opportunities within freight forwarding, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain sectors
- Identify and acquire new customers across air freight, sea freight, road freight, e-commerce, and contract logistics services
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
- Generate sales leads through networking, market research, referrals, and industry events
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial agreements
- Work closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure excellent customer experience
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements
- Achieve agreed sales targets and business growth objectives
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline reporting
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics, freight forwarding, express delivery, supply chain, or transportation sales
- Proven track record in business development and customer acquisition
- Strong understanding of international freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network within freight forwarding, e-commerce logistics, manufacturing, retail, or supply chain sector
- Experience working with Chinese corporate clients, Chinese-owned businesses, or international logistics provider
- Experience working for a Chinese logistics company, freight forwarder, or multinational organisation with strong China-Europe trade activities would be highly advantageous
- Mandarin Chinese language skills are beneficial but not essential
