Key Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Manage inbound, outbound, storage, inventory control, and value-added logistics activities.
- Develop and implement warehouse processes, SOPs, and operational controls.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Manage warehouse staffing, workforce planning, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with transportation, customs, customer service, and commercial teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Support warehouse startup projects, including layout planning, equipment implementation, and operational readiness activities.
- Manage relationships with third-party service providers and business partners where required.
- Drive cost control and operational efficiency improvements.
- Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, fulfilment, or supply chain operations management.
- Previous experience managing warehouse teams within a logistics, e-commerce, parcel, freight forwarding, or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
- Experience with warehouse startup, site launch, or operational transformation projects would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Knowledge of UK Health & Safety requirements within warehouse operations.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Experience within logistics providers, express delivery, freight forwarding, e-commerce fulfilment, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations.
- Experience managing warehouses of 20,000+ sq ft.
- Familiarity with automation, warehouse optimisation, or process improvement initiatives.
- Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is desirable.
