We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Community Engagement Advisor to lead stakeholder and community engagement for a major infrastructure project in Western Sydney. This critical role will design and deliver strategic engagement initiatives that underpin the successful planning and delivery of a large-scale program. Partnering closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, you will provide trusted advice, oversee complex relationships, and ensure consultation activities are transparent, inclusive, and outcomes driven.
About the Role:
- Develop and deliver community and stakeholder engagement plans and high-quality communication materials
- Engage with stakeholders and community members through multiple channels and maintain accurate records
- Build strong on-site relationships and provide guidance on engagement issues and complaints
- Identify community and stakeholder risks and help minimise impacts
- Promote organisational values and embed a strong customer-focused culture
- Contribute to reporting, continuous improvement and positive organisational reputation
About you:
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in community and stakeholder engagement, with knowledge of or training in IAP2 principles
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, sustainability, environmental management, urban planning, engineering or related social sciences
- Demonstrated experience working on infrastructure projects, ideally during construction or delivery phases
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking capability
- Proactive, positive mindset with a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement
- Full driver’s licence, with regular travel to sites across Western Sydney required
