Seymour John are exclusively partnering with a well-established, values-driven not for profit organisation to recruit a Health, Safety & Environmental Lead. This is a key role supporting a diverse, multi-site operation, where you will take ownership of developing and embedding a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving best practice, and influencing positive behavioural change.

The Opportunity

  • Develop, implement and continually improve health, safety and environmental policies in line with current legislation
  • Lead on risk assessments, fire safety compliance and statutory obligations across multiple sites
  • Oversee accident reporting, investigations and ensure timely regulatory reporting
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and hazard reporting processes
  • Deliver engaging health & safety training programmes to staff at all levels
  • Maintain accurate records relating to incidents, compliance and training
  • Liaise with external bodies including regulatory authorities and specialist advisors
  • Support contractor management processes, including compliance under CDM regulations
  • Promote a proactive, positive safety culture across the organisation

Key skills/experience required:

  • NEBOSH Certificate with a proven background managing a wide range of health & safety matters
  • Experience within facilities or multi-site environments
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment and hazard management
  • Experience delivering training and presenting to audiences
  • Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach
