An immediate start is available for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support a well‑established business based in Eccles, Manchester, on a temporary basis. This role operates on evening hours, working 4pm–8pm, Monday to Friday.
The Opportunity
- Provide transactional finance support to the wider team, assisting across purchase ledger, sales ledger, and general accounting tasks.
- Monitor and manage shared finance inboxes, prioritising queries and ensuring timely, accurate responses or allocation to the correct team members.
- Process a variety of financial documents - including invoices, payments, and adjustments - ensuring accuracy, correct coding, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support month‑end activities such as reconciliations, preparing financial data, and ensuring records are complete and up to date.
- Assist with supplier and customer account maintenance, helping resolve queries, discrepancies, and outstanding items.
- Provide general administrative and financial support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations within the finance department.
