Role
My client is looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance Team. You will be a key support to the Operations team with any financial, analytical reporting requirements and ensure the balance sheet is fully reconciled for all associated companies. The ideal candidate will have three years of practical experience in preparing accurate and timely management accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Profit & Loss identifying/investigating variances.
- Provide insight and actions to improve business performance.
- Be actively involved in developing a robust budget and forecasts.
- Business partner the operations to identify financial opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Attend client meetings to support the business negotiations.
- Maintain balance sheet control accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
- Review business processes in unit to support financial compliance.
- Oversee monthly billing process supporting operations raising accurate invoices.
- Reconcile data between operating systems and SAP financial systems.
- Assist with annual audit and year end close.
- Ad hoc reporting requirements required by internal management.
Personal Profile
- Advanced skills in Excel.
- Minimum of three years practical experience.
- Experience in reconciling multiple systems.
- Capacity to deal with different business models.
- Actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification - AAT / CIMA / ACCA.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good analytical skill and attention to detail.
- Work well as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Flexible and adaptable to take on a variety of tasks.
