To manage, be responsible for and where appropriate undertake activities in the following areas:
- Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts including commentary
- Business Information & Management Reporting
- General accounting & related work
- Bank Reconciliations and cashflow forecasting
- Assist with preparation of Company Budgets
- Assist with annual Audit
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, including:
- Concise commentary using exception reporting
- Graphs & appropriate KPI’s
- Reporting against Prior Year and Budget
- Report and communicate timely & relevant information on an agreed frequency including orders, sales, gross margins, purchases, stock, debtors and any other key area
- Help develop KPI’s which monitor Business Critical Activity
- Accurate calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments
- Monthly control account reconciliations (e.g. bank, debtors, creditors, stock, fixed assets, intercompany)
- Perform full GL analysis
- Maintenance and accurate upkeep of Fixed Asset Register
- Writing reports using SQL in Excel and releasing to business
- Reporting for EC Sales and Intrastat
- Complete VAT returns monthly
- Ad hoc work as required by the business
- Provide cover during periods of absence / holiday
