We’re seeking a proactive, detail-driven Management Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day financial operations, work closely with operational teams, and play a key role in supporting our continued growth. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on variety, responsibility, and making a real impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Management Accounts & Reporting: Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting. Month-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments and journals. Variance analysis against budget and prior periods, with clear commentary. Support budgeting and forecasting processes. Assist with reporting as required. Preparation of end of crop costings.
  • Payroll: End to end responsibility for monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Processing pension contributions, statutory payments and payroll reconciliations.
  • Finance Control & Operations: Maintain and reconcile balance sheet control accounts. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures. Support year end preparation and liaise with external accountants. Process finance lending agreements – HP Finance. Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate supplier records. Preparing and executing payment runs. Performing bank reconciliations. Process monthly VAT Returns.
  • Business Support: Work closely with other departments to improve financial understanding. Support process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function. Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.

Your profile

Skills / Qualifications: Solid technical accounting knowledge – qualified / part qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA. Minimum requirement AAT Level 4. Or, Qualified by experience with significant knowledge. Strong, up-to-date Microsoft Excel and IT Skills.
