The Opportunity

This is a key role within the Finance team, responsible for delivering an accurate and timely payroll service across multiple UK and Irish entities. You will ensure payroll integrity, maintain essential records, and work closely with HR and external bodies to support smooth payroll operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and updating payroll information each month, ensuring all payrolls are processed ahead of deadlines
  • Calculating payroll items such as sick pay, holiday, maternity pay, salary sacrifice, and benefits‑in‑kind
  • Entering employee data into payroll systems, including starters, leavers, and contractual changes
  • Liaising with HMRC/ROS regarding PAYE and other payroll‑related queries
  • Completing annual year‑end procedures including P60s
  • Maintaining pension documentation and calculating monthly contributions
  • Processing payroll payments to employees and HMRC

Personal Profile

This role would suit a detail‑driven and organised payroll professional who is confident managing the full payroll cycle. You’ll be comfortable working independently, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance across all payroll activities.

You will bring:

  • Experience managing end‑to‑end payroll and meeting strict deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using payroll software
  • Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail
  • Confidence liaising with management and handling payroll queries professionally

Hours and Benefits

37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday (open to part time, minimum 30 hrs) Generous holiday entitlement which starts at 25 days +
