The role
To provide professional, consistent first line HR support within a fast-paced operational environment. This role has a strong focus on employee relations, supporting managers with day-to-day people matters to ensure a fair and compliant team.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for managers on employee relations including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, absence management and performance concerns.
- Provide responsive, practical HR advice to employees and managers.
- Support day to day queries via the HR inbox, phone and onsite presence.
- Manage and support a high volume of ER casework.
- Supporting the HR Manager, coach and guide managers to build confidence and capability handling people issues.
- Ensure consistency, compliance and fairness in decision making.
- Build strong working relationships with Operational leaders.
- Support peak periods with recruitment and selection.
- Support employee inductions on a regular basis.
- Ensure accurate contractual changes are processed.
