The Company: Seymour John are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a well‑established and growing organisation in Warwickshire to recruit a Group Financial Accountant for a maternity cover contract. The role is expected to run for approximately 12 months, starting in February/March.
The Opportunity: This maternity cover position will work alongside another existing Group Financial Accountant, providing support and assistance with key financial processes. The role will ensure continuity and accuracy in reporting and compliance, while sharing responsibilities with the current team member.
Responsibilities:- Assisting with group consolidation during the month‑end process
- Supporting the preparation of Board reports, including KPI analysis
- Preparing month‑end reports and management accounts
- Completing reconciliations for debtors, creditors, bank accounts, and intercompany balances
- Providing financial insights to help guide business decisions
- Contributing to the annual external audit process
- Assisting with statutory financial reporting requirements
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Responding to queries from internal teams and external stakeholders
- Completing business surveys as required
- Taking on ad hoc tasks to support the wider finance team
