NHS Trust is looking for accredited Epic Analysts for a long-term contract (2 years) to support a large-scale EPR (Electronic Patient Record) implementation on a hybrid basis.

Qualifications

  • Essential criteria
  • General education to degree level, equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience
  • IT Qualification in Excel (or equivalent experience)
  • Desirable criteria
    • Epic certified in at least one application
    • PRINCE/MSP or other project management qualification

    Experience

    • Essential criteria
    • Design and delivery of workflows/processes in a clinical environment
    • Experience of delivery of benefits from the implementation of technology/services
    • Experience of working with the Epic EPR system
    • Experience of working with senior clinical staff, medical consultants and other senior managers
    • Experience of delivering complex technical projects to tight deadlines
  • Desirable criteria
    • Experience of managing clinical and/or operational services within the NHS
    • Electronic patient record (EPR) design and delivery in a clinical environment
    • Configuration and adaptation of EPR technology to meet the needs of users
    • Application support service delivery
    • Previous NHS experience

    Knowledge

    • Thorough understanding of clinical and/or operational workflows and processes in a healthcare setting
    • Knowledge of the Epic EPR system
    • Understanding of Information Governance

    • Sound project management skills
    • First class application technical skills
    • Good communication skills particularly with clinical and senior staff
    • Present complex technical information to non-technical large groups of internal or external clinicians/operational managers
    • Negotiate and use effective persuasive techniques with senior level staff
    • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time on complex data and process analysis
