We're supporting an NHS organisation to recruit an experienced Digital & Data Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of NHS digital projects, including clinical systems, data, and transformation initiatives. This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone confident running projects end-to-end within a complex NHS environment.
The role:
- You'll be responsible for managing one or more digital and data projects, working closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure safe, timely delivery and clear benefits realisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end delivery of NHS Digital & Data projects within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters
- Ownership of all project governance: PIDs, plans, RAID logs, highlight reports and closure reports
- Operating confidently within PRINCE2 / Agile frameworks
- Managing dependencies across interrelated projects and programmes
- Working closely with clinical leads, operational teams, CIO/CDIO office, PMO and suppliers
- Supporting business case development, option appraisals and procurement activity where required
- Ensuring benefits tracking and effective handover into BAU
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the NHS
- Strong background delivering Digital, Data, EPR, PAS, or IM&T projects
- Comfortable engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders at pace
- Solid governance discipline and documentation standards
- PRINCE2 and/or Agile qualification (Practitioner preferred)
- Able to operate independently while collaborating closely within a PMO/programme structure
