Seymour John Public Services is delighted to be partnering with Gloucestershire Managed Services Limited to recruit a Minor Works Capital Project Manager into its progressive Capital Delivery Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and organised project professional to lead the day to day delivery of a varied portfolio of planned infrastructure, compliance and estate-improvement projects across Gloucestershire’s hospitals.
The opportunity
You will manage multiple concurrent schemes, typically valued up to £250,000 each, taking day to day responsibility from initial request and feasibility through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover and defects resolution. Although projects are relatively modest in value, they can involve significant technical, operational and stakeholder complexity within live hospital environments.
The organisation
GMS provides essential estates, facilities, infrastructure, capital delivery and support services to Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Its work helps create and maintain the safe, compliant and effective environments in which healthcare services operate every day.
The Capital Delivery Team works across GMS and the Trust to deliver investment in buildings, infrastructure, compliance and estate improvement. The team is building its permanent delivery capability and developing progressive, consistent and efficient ways of working based on professional standards, collaborative working, clear accountability and continuous improvement.
The role
Reporting to a Senior Capital Project Manager, you will act as the principal day-to-day contact for allocated minor works schemes. You will work with clinical, operational, estates and corporate colleagues to reconcile service needs, technical requirements, affordability and operational constraints within live healthcare environments.
