We are partnering with a local authority organisation based in the Midlands to appoint an experienced Finance Business Partner to support strategic financial management across Social Services. This is a key role for a qualified finance professional (CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA) who thrives on influencing decision‑making, leading a small finance team, and shaping improved outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support finance/payments team activity
- Deliver high‑quality management accounts, forecasting, and financial insight
- Support annual budget setting and medium‑term financial planning
- Drive process improvement, financial stewardship, and value‑for‑money initiatives
- Partner with senior leaders to interpret financial data and shape service decisions
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/CIPFA)
- Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills
- Experience working with senior stakeholders
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members
