Bookkeeper | Shrewsbury | Full Time (Reduced Hours can be discussed) | Office based | Circa £18 per hour (negotiable on experience) Do you have solid, hands-on experience working in a standalone Bookkeeper role? Are you confident taking ownership of the day-to-day accounts within a small business? The Opportunity Seymour John are partnering with a small business in Shrewsbury, who are looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper into a standalone position. This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration of the business, working independently while liaising with external accountants where required. Key responsibilities will include: * Managing day-to-day bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records * Purchase and sales ledger duties * Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance * Processing payments and monitoring incoming monies * Supporting with VAT and other routine financial requirements * Producing financial information and reports for the business * Liaising with external accountants where required * Taking overall ownership of the day-to-day finance function About you: We’re looking for someone with strong practical bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within an SME or standalone finance environment. You will need to be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and being the main point of contact for day-to-day accounts matters.
