The Company

Seymour John are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing group of companies to recruit an experienced Management Accountant. This is a key appointment to strengthen their finance team and support continued growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and delivering accurate monthly management accounts, including detailed profit and loss statements, variance analysis, and insightful commentary to support business performance reviews.
  • Leading the preparation of annual statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and liaising with external auditors during year-end processes.
  • Providing financial analysis and support for ad hoc projects, including cost optimisation initiatives, pricing reviews, and profitability assessments for the sales team.
  • Monitoring and improving financial processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and implementing best practices across reporting and controls.
  • Supervising and mentoring two team members, providing guidance, reviewing outputs, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing finance function.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, delivering clear and timely financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Personal Profile

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of key financial processes. You will have at least three years’ experience in a similar role and ideally be part-qualified (ACCA or AAT). Strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and confidence working with financial systems are essential. You will combine exceptional attention to detail with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.
