A growing, fast‑paced organisation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its friendly and collaborative finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and working in a modern, supportive culture.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving strong financial controls, and supporting commercial decision‑making across the business. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, support planning cycles, and ensure smooth month‑end and compliance processes. This position offers a hybrid working model with three office days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Month‑End
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, bank recs, journals, and P&L reviews.
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports including supplier‑related reporting.
- Submit VAT returns and support payroll/PAYE processing.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide insight on performance and key drivers.
- Maintain daily cash‑flow forecasts.
- Manage weekly payment runs.
- Monitor liquidity and support working‑capital optimisation.
- Support the maintenance of strong internal controls.
- Assist with audit preparation.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
- Work with internal teams to enhance reporting and systems.
- Work closely with the wider finance team in a supportive, collaborative environment.
- Contribute to leadership meetings by preparing and presenting finance‑related updates.
- Engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
- Qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified‑by‑experience Finance Manager (or similar level).
- Strong grounding in transactional and management accounting.
- Confident working with data and challenging/investigating variances.
- Advanced Excel skills.
