Urgent Temporary Role – Accounts Supervisor | Ross-on-Wye | Agriculture | Salary: Negotiable | Temporary | Immediate Start

We are urgently looking for an experienced Accounts Supervisor to join an established construction business based in Ross-on-Wye on a temporary basis.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced finance professional who can step into a busy Finance function and make an immediate impact.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee and support the day-to-day finance operation, with responsibility across:

  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Supplier payments and reconciliations
  • Banking and bank reconciliations
  • Sales invoicing and cash allocation
  • Month-end and year-end support
  • Financial reporting and KPIs
  • Maintaining strong financial controls and audit trails
  • Supervising, coaching and supporting Accounts Assistants
  • Reviewing and improving finance processes and procedures

About You

We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is confident supervising a finance team.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience across AP, AR, banking and expenses
  • Previous experience supervising or managing finance staff
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong Excel and ERP experience
  • Experience with month-end and year-end processes
  • Good financial analysis and data manipulation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
  • AAT qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience within construction would be desirable
