This is a full-time, on-site Trades People role based in London. The role involves carrying out general repairs, routine maintenance, and minor building works across the residential estate, including tasks such as fixing fixtures and fittings, basic plumbing repairs, painting, decorating, and minor carpentry. Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, conducting regular inspections of communal areas, and identifying issues before they escalate. The role also involves coordinating with external contractors when specialist work is required and ensuring health and safety standards are followed at all times. The successful candidate will keep accurate records of work completed, manage tools and materials, and communicate clearly with residents, management, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in general maintenance, building repairs, or a relevant trade (e.g., handyman, maintenance operative, carpenter, plumber, or similar).
- Strong practical skills in basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating, and minor electrical work (within safety and regulatory limits).
- Good understanding of building safety, health and safety practices, and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to diagnose issues, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents, colleagues, and contractors.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high property standards.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment, and to work on ladders or in confined spaces when required.
- Relevant trade qualifications, certifications, or apprenticeships are beneficial but not mandatory with equivalent experience.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to work on-site in London on a full-time basis.
