The Role
We are looking for a Deputy Sales Account Manager to support the Sales Account Manager in building cross-functional relationships to meet and exceed Nissan Europe expectations and secure new business.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage customer requests, including cost breakdowns, price tracking, design/model changes, and technical (VA/VE) quotations.
- Take responsibility for customer sales activities, including preparing technically and commercially coherent quotations, setting pricing, and acting as the interface with plant(s) on customer-related matters such as quality requirements, productivity improvements, supply issues, and other customer expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer influencers to maximise emerging opportunities and serve as the primary liaison/contact for customer purchasing stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication via Sumitomo Japan with Nissan Japan and Nissan Europe to ensure requirements are understood and cascaded across SEI (Sumitomo Japan) and SEWS-E.
- Lead a small team handling external and internal sales queries and requests.
- Ensure all tracking is up to date.
- Participate in the project and commercial reviews.
- Participate in the update of the sales database maintained by the commercial coordinator.
- Any other comparable duties as requested by the Line Manager.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Automotive experience (preferably Nissan) is desirable but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of wiring harnesses and pricing measures is desirable but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIFS, etc.).
- Effective communicator at all levels with significant customer liaison/contact.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data and perform effective root-cause analysis.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
Special Conditions
- Must have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
- Maintain a high degree of flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas to support meetings, reviews, and activities at SEWS-E and customer sites as required.
