The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 £ per year.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To carry out general duties in order to assist both SRC personnel and the various trades on site, as required.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Responsible to: Quarry Manager
  • Responsible for: None
  • Liaison with: Directors, Managers, Employees, Clients

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAIN TASKS OF JOB:

  • Loading and unloading of product onto Heavy Goods vehicles by use of Forklift.
  • Safe stacking of Blocks and pallets by use of Forklift.
  • Be competent and have a good understanding of all Eco-Bloc automated machinery.
  • Perform housekeeping duties around site, including manual sweeping and shovelling.
  • Be competent in the use of multiple forklift attachments (Fork, Block Grab and Machine Feed Hopper).
  • Ensure dust is kept to a minimum at all times by use of dust suppression bowser.
  • Report any problems to the supervisor.
  • Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
  • Responsible for the removal of all waste products in line with the Company’s Environmental policy.
  • To wear PPE at all times.
  • To comply with the company’s Factory Production Control Manual in support of SRC Quality Objectives.
  • To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment.
  • Health and Safety trained or working towards.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take instruction.
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.
