Sewell Wallis are currently working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, to recruit a Part-Time Bookkeeper. The role is approximately three days per week, with flexibility on working days and hours for the right candidate, offering an excellent opportunity for those seeking reduced hours and better work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a range of clients.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Processing financial data using systems such as Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
- Supporting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting clients with queries and providing ongoing support.
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Experience with bookkeeping and VAT returns.
- Relevant qualifications desirable but not required (e.g., AAT/ACCA or similar).
- Strong IT skills, including Excel and accounting software.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
