Sewell Wallis are partnering with a thriving business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis. The role will be predominantly focused on Purchase Ledger and would suit someone experienced in this area of transactional finance. The position covers a period of leave within the team for approximately one month, with a potential extension.

What will you be doing?

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Matching and coding invoices.
  • Handling supplier queries via email and telephone and resolving discrepancies.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any differences.
  • Setting up and maintaining supplier accounts.
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly supplier payment runs.
  • Dealing with regular bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting with raising sales ledger invoices when needed.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks when required.

  • Proven experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
