Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a role based in Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire. This position is with a multi-billion pound global business within the service and consultancy industries. They are a growing business with two offices across the UK, you will be overseeing the statutory reporting and group intercompany reconciliations, alongside mentoring of the team and business partnering across departments with various stakeholders both UK and overseas.
This role would be ideal for someone who is making a second move from Practice, or someone looking for a step up from their current financial/group accountant role that can offer more responsibilities, variety and further career development.
What will you be doing?
- Assisting with month-end management reporting
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Act as a point of contact during the annual audit and R&D return processes
- Ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations (sales ledger, CAPEX, control accounts)
- Maintain and optimise intercompany reconciliations
- Support the reconciliation of fixed asset registers across five entities
- Assist with preparation of monthly/quarterly VAT/GST/sales tax returns
