Sewell Wallis are partnering with a fantastic Charity based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, to secure a Finance Manager to oversee and lead their Finance function. You'll need to be a confident No.1 who creates, and presents, financial information to the SLT and board of Trustees, being able to defend and challenge. You'll be managing a small team of two and responsible for financial strategy, preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections, managing investments, collaborating on funding, and leading on year end reporting and audit activities. This role is perfect for someone who wants to give back to the local community and loves to get thoroughly involved with all aspects of a business! As Finance Manager you'll need to be confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders, always with the best interest of the charity in mind. To be considered you'll need to be qualified and have experience working as part of the SLT, ideally you'll have some not-for-profit/public sector experience (although not essential) and be confident managing a team. What will you be doing? Lead the finance function, line management of 2 people Ensure a sustainable financial strategy underpinned by robust financial planning and management systems. Work with the Senior Management Team to develop the business plan, managing and monitoring effectiveness and performance to achieve its objectives Prepare annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections Prepare monthly management accounts and commentary for the SMT and Board of Trustees Prepare draft year end accounts for audit and coordinate accountancy and audit activities Ensure compliance with charity accounting requirements, statutory regulations and internal financial controls Prepare information for the outsourced payroll function and ensure accurate reports are returned to allow for payment to be made to schedule Support funding bids by preparing costings and reviewing financial implications What skills are we looking for? Qualified candidate - ACA, ACCA, CIMA Management experience Experience preparing management information and delivering to the SLT & board of trustees Good knowledge of charity finances would be beneficial (although not essential) Strong commercial acumen and business awareness to push growthWhat's on offer?
