Sewell Wallis is recruiting a permanent, full-time, experienced Bookkeeper for a West Yorkshire business we have worked closely with over the years. They are looking for a Bookkeeper and this is an excellent opportunity to join the North Leeds office. You will work alongside highly experienced accountants and other professionals who will work with you to develop your career and provide you with the guidance and training.
What will you be doing?
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other cloud-based systems.
- Delivering monthly bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients.
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns in line with UK VAT legislation.
- Reconciling bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries and provide ongoing support.
What skills are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within an accountancy practice or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and VAT legislation.
- Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and other cloud-based accounting systems.
