Sewell Wallis are working with a fantastic business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, who are looking to recruit a Junior Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in Excel and a genuine interest in data and reporting to take the next step in a commercial finance environment. This Junior Finance Analyst role is perfect for someone who enjoys digging into data, spotting trends, and supporting decision-making with clear, accurate reporting. What you\'ll be doing: Supporting the wider finance team with monthly reporting and analysis. Producing Excel-based reports to track key financial and operational metrics. Maintaining and updating data within dashboards using Power BI. Assisting in preparing management accounts packs with commentary on variances. Working with large data sets from various systems and helping to ensure data integrity. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes with data input and analysis. Assisting with reconciliations and investigating any data inconsistencies. Helping the business move away from manual reporting by automating templates where possible. Liaising with operational teams to gather insights and clarify anomalies in data. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner to support commercial decision-making.What skills are we looking for? Strong Excel skills (comfortable with formulas like INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables, and ideally Power Query). Exposure to or a keen interest in Power BI or other reporting tools. A naturally analytical mindset with good attention to detail. Experience working with data, ideally in a Financial Analyst role. Excellent communication skills - able to present data clearly to non-finance colleagues. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new challenges. What\'s on offer?
