  • Reconcile the bank on a daily basis, manage bank deposits and oversee petty cash.
  • Process all customer and supplier invoices.
  • Complete monthly VAT returns, CIS, PAYE and P11D requirements.
  • Manage the credit control function, including setting up new suppliers, obtaining appropriate credit limits and agreeing payment terms.
  • Work closely with the external Accountant on monthly management accounts and statutory accounts, as well as supporting the annual audit process.
  • Work closely with the company's external HR partner to ensure appropriate HR documentation is prepared, maintained and kept up to date.
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring payroll information is maintained to a high standard.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Confident working within an SME environment; manufacturing experience would be preferable.
  • Previous experience using Sage 50.
  • Strong experience with end-to-end payroll, PAYE and handling HMRC queries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels and from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Professional and discreet, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive salary of up to £38,000.
  • 33 days' annual leave, including bank holidays.
  • 8:30am-5pm Monday to Thursday, with a 2:30pm finish on Friday.
  • 30 minute break daily.
