Sewell Wallis is partnering with a large South Yorkshire Construction business based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, in their search for an Internal Recruiter.
Working closely with the HR Manager and hiring managers, you'll take ownership of the recruitment process, from understanding vacancy requirements and proactively sourcing candidates through to managing interviews and supporting successful appointments.
This role would suit someone who has either hands-on recruitment experience or who has a strong administration background who would love the opportunity to move into a recruiter role and has the confidence to build strong relationships with hiring managers and deliver an excellent experience for candidates.
What will you be doing?
- Managing end-to-end recruitment activity, from initial vacancy briefing through to offer acceptance.
- Working closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements and agree priorities.
- Creating engaging job adverts and managing recruitment campaigns across appropriate platforms.
- Proactively sourcing candidates through agencies on the PSL and external adverts and promotions.
- Screening applications, conducting initial interviews and presenting suitable candidate shortlists.
- Coordinating interviews, assessments, candidate feedback and offers.
- Providing regular recruitment updates to hiring managers and the Head of HR.
- Monitoring recruitment activity, including time to hire, direct sourcing effectiveness and recruitment expenditure.
- Working collaboratively with the People Team to ensure a smooth transition from recruitment to onboarding.
What skills do we need?
- Experience working within an internal recruitment role or an established agency recruiter would be ideal; however, we are also open to well organised individuals who are keen to join a recruiter role.
- Excellent organisation and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies, campaigns and competing priorities.
- Confidence using recruitment systems, reporting tools and data to monitor performance, generate insight and support decisions.
