Sewell Mullings Logie are seeking a Litigation fee earner to join its highly regarded team. The role mainly focuses on supporting and assisting the Litigation Partner on a number of contentious matters including contentious probate, property disputes, commercial disputes and debt recovery. The friendly team is looking for someone to assist on a quality and varied caseload. The work is fast paced and engaging but the successful candidate would be working in a supportive team with good supervision on offer. The opportunity to develop skills, learn and gain experience is available to the successful candidate who can enjoy the benefits of working in a thriving Cotswold firm.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with and progressing a broad range of litigation matters.
- The preparation and submission of court documents.
- Complying with procedural requirements.
- Handling correspondence and supporting negotiations.
- Advising clients and working closely with the Litigation Partner.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience of Litigation work.
- The ability to use various IT systems to run and manage files.
- Knowledge of the Civil Procedural Rules or the ability to learn and understand them.
- A real enthusiasm for Litigation work.
- The ability to prioritise work effectively.
- A good work ethic.
- Professionalism.
- Good organisational skills.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise directly with clients, lawyers and third parties.

The role will be largely office based due to the level of client contact we pride ourselves on but there will be the opportunity to work from home occasionally if required. A competitive salary and other benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.
