Sewell Mullings Logie are seeking an experienced Family Solicitor/CILEX to join its highly regarded team.

The role mainly focuses on divorce, separation, financial remedy matters and child arrangements.

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate family lawyer to join our friendly team and to manage a quality and varied caseload.

We are looking for someone who can guide our clients through a difficult time and to advise them clearly on the practical and legal aspects of separation, finance and child arrangements.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing a case load of family law matters including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, separation agreements, cohabitation agreements and nuptial agreements.
  • Advising clients whilst building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Providing clear and sound legal advice to clients from initial consultation through to resolution.
  • Drafting legal documents, applications and forms.

The Ideal candidate would have

  • At least 2 years’ experience of family law work and a proven background in running good quality matters.
  • Strong technical, legal and advisory skills in relation to a range of family matters.
  • Specialised knowledge of Section 8 applications would be beneficial.
  • The ability to manage their own case load independently with supervision available.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. There will be opportunities to market these skills and acquire new clients within the Cotswolds.
  • The ability to run matters efficiently and effectively whilst ensuring compliance with Lexcel standards.
