What we are looking for
The role of Head of Planting and Maintenance is a fundamental position within the Sevron Team. Responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of the service delivery for tree planting and maintenance across multiple contracts throughout metropolitan Melbourne, this role requires an organised leader. Managing large-scale projects across multiple sites, you will be required to build strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities to expand our footprint in the industry.
Reporting to the Group General Manager – Planting Maintenance and Landscape, this role is responsible for:
Managing the Regional Delivery Managers (RDM’s) with their day-to-day operations. This includes the service delivery on tree planting and maintenance targets across multiple contracts throughout metropolitan Melbourne
Building and nurture relationships with key clients and contacts ensuring the business delivers on its targets and accountabilities
Directing outcomes through effective management of the RDM’s, supported by the People & Culture Team
Overseeing and managing the distribution of internal resources ensuring employee headcount is sufficient to complete required work
Liaising with business stakeholders to understand tasks that need to be completed, deadlines and resource allocation
Identifying scheduling risks and supply chain issues before they occur and come up with plans to minimise their occurrence
Reporting on the progress / status of projects and communicate any delays with the Group General Manager – Planting Maintenance & Landscaping
Continuously developing workforce capabilities and maintain a working environment conducive to high productivity
Providing recommendations for relevant incentive programs to achieve stretch targets as well as mentoring and coaching to enhance capabilities to meet delivery needs
Identifying training and succession planning needs for direct reports
Analysing data and creating solutions for resource forecasting and identifying skill gaps
Developing and implementing reporting tools and cadences to monitor operational & delivery outputs
In conjunction with the Group General Manager – Planting Maintenance & Landscaping, over see departmental budgets for current and future projects
Ensuring accurate forecasting and analysis to maintain cost effective operations
What you will bring
Strong industry experience or knowledge in a Multi Project Management role or similar
The ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications in Business Management or Horticulture
Stability as a leader and as strong sense of accountability for personal delivery of work
Collaborative team approach demonstrating a strong and professional work ethic and commitment to deliver exceptional service
