EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
At Severn Trent, we are looking for an experienced Civils Operative to join the team responsible for deep excavations on our Waste Networks to repair, prevent failure or inability to operate. This will mean ideally you will have a 360-excavator license and experience and knowledge on how to perform a deep excavation safely.
You will be based at our Finham Site in Warwickshire. You’ll work within our Waste Network Resolution Team, with 13 other Operatives within your Region. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 42.5 hours a week, working from 07:30-16:30 Monday to Friday with a rotating standby rota which will include evenings and weekends.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We would love you to have a strong background in Civil Engineering with experience in problem solving and first-time resolution of gravity and pressurised systems. You’ll be expected to work well with other Operatives and take instruction from Management, but also not be afraid to challenge site safety/ assess risks and bring your own initiative to the works being done.
To be able to fulfil this position you will need to have:
- Full driving licence
- A C1 & E / CE license would be desirable
- NRSWA Operatives Qualification
- Deep Excavation training
- 360 Excavator License
- Medium risk confined space and similar industry qualifications
- Knowledge of Temporary Works
- Underground Cable Detection
