LET’S TELL YOU MORE
We’re looking for a talented Business Analyst to join our dynamic Technology team. If you’re passionate about solving business problems, thrive in collaborative environments, and have strong stakeholder management skills, this could be the perfect role for you. You’ll also play a key part in mentoring our Associate Business Analysts, helping them grow and develop in their careers.
Responsibilities
- Drive value through Agile and Waterfall delivery. Guided by our Principal Business Analyst, you’ll help teams prioritise work based on value and ensure delivery aligns with our Train cadence. Lead business analysis activities across sprints in an Agile environment, from backlog refinement to defining acceptance criteria. When a Waterfall approach is more suitable, take a structured lead capturing end‑to‑end requirements and supporting predictable delivery outcomes. Whether iterating toward MVPs or delivering fully defined solutions, ensure the method fits the need and drives measurable value.
- Be a strategic partner in technology projects. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Project Managers, and Test Leads to ensure alignment with Technology Principles. Identify risks and dependencies early and keep delivery teams focused on solving the right problems to drive successful outcomes across the technology portfolio.
- Work within the Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry and join the dedicated Business Analyst Team on a variety of projects that test and develop your skills.
- Contribute to appraising and shaping solutions across their lifecycle, including application and infrastructure considerations, testing, training, and change input to Group Transformation where applicable.
Qualifications and Skills
Your technical experience will be desirable to enable support across the lifecycle, including Application and Infrastructure Management, implementation support (testing, training and implementation), and appreciation of business change to provide input and support to Group Transformation. While skills and experience are important, character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality, as diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us learn and better serve our communities.
