LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

We’re looking for a Strategic Asset Manager – Permitting to provide expert guidance across wastewater and clean water permitting, supporting AMP8 delivery and driving innovative, data‑led design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert on permitting requirements for wastewater and clean water projects
  • Lead technical modelling and permit limit setting using Monte Carlo simulations
  • Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
  • Manage EA pre‑applications and technical discussions
  • Develop SOPs and enable self‑serve capabilities across teams
  • Support WINEP sign‑off and dynamic permitting initiatives
  • Participate in Communities of Practice to drive continuous improvement

You’ll be based at our Head Office in Coventry. You’ll work within our Asset Strategy team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week.

About You

  • Proven experience in wastewater and sludge treatment design
  • Strong knowledge of environmental permits, EMS, and CDM regulations
  • Skilled in modelling, flow calculations, and process investigations
  • Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills
  • Ability to challenge constructively and collaborate effectively
  • Have an Engineering background

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree in Science/Engineering and a full UK driving licence
  • Desirable: Professional accreditation (e.g. ICE, CIWEM), BTEC Sewage Treatment or CIWEM Certificate, IOSH or equivalent safety qualification
